Discover the story of Maine's food scene, one plate at a time.

To the Maine Food For Thought Community,

Maine Food for Thought will remain closed for the foreseeable future, due to the impacts from the Covid-19 pandemic.

We will continue to keep Maine Food for Thought in the front of our minds, and hope that there might be a way to offer our in-person educational food tours in the future.

Our mission was to reveal the distinctive stories of Maine’s unique food system and the social, environmental, and economic connections, and we hope we achieved that. We feel that our vision - "a future where people feel an intimate connection to their food decisions and a sense of responsibility for the sustainable relationships their food has within their communities," is as necessary today as it has ever been. We hope our Maine Food for Thought community will carry this vision forward, and support and strengthen the local food systems where they live and where they visit.

We are incredibly grateful for the support we have received for our tours from our incredible restaurant partners, our staff, Maine farms, fisheries, local food leaders and non-profit organizations, press outlets, food travel organizations, and of course, our wonderful guests.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support of Maine Food for Thought. We hope to see you down the road.

Sincerely,
Bryce & Sarah Hach, Maine Food for Thought Co-Founders
